Step 1 • Choose mode
Start with the correct access path
Desktop users install the extension. Mobile users install the NudgeProof Mobile App from the mobile app page. Both should follow the guide first so installation, pairing, and report review all happen correctly.

Step 2 • Download
Download the extension package
From the home page, click Download Extension ZIP. Save the file in Downloads or on the Desktop, then keep the ZIP available until extraction is complete.

Step 3 • Extract
Extract the ZIP before installation
Do not load the ZIP file directly. Right click the ZIP, choose Extract All, and open the extracted folder that contains the extension files.

Step 4 • Install
Open the browser extensions page
Use chrome://extensions or the equivalent browser extension manager, turn on Developer Mode, and click Load unpacked.

Select the extracted NudgeProof folder next.

Step 5 • Select folder
Choose the extracted NudgeProof folder
Point the browser to the extracted folder. Once selected, the extension appears in the toolbar and is ready for pairing.

Step 6 • User account
Create or log in to your account
Open the separate Login / Sign Up page, create your user profile, or log in. Use the Forgot Password button to reset a locally registered account. Your reports, download history, notification flow, and browser pairing stay inside the portal.

Step 7 • Pairing
Link the extension with the portal
Generate the pairing code from the extension popup or click Generate Pairing Code inside User Portal → Downloads & Browser Pairing. Then click Connect Extension to link the report stream with your account.

Step 8 • Reports
Understand every report state clearly
The report always shows a clear result. Green is safe, yellow is neutral/review-needed, and red is scam or fraud risk. Visible reasons and PDF proof are included.

Step 9 • Mobile flow
Use the mobile app access page
Mobile users should open the Mobile App page and tap Install Mobile App. The installation-status card clearly shows Ready, Not Installed, Manual, or Installed. After installation, open the NudgeProof AI icon normally—the API starts by itself with no separate file, terminal, Node.js, server URL, or configuration.

Mobile scanning
Scan and export directly inside the app
Open the installed NudgeProof AI app, paste a suspicious URL or message, run the protected scan, review the result, and generate a PDF report. The embedded API and local storage work automatically inside the app.

You are now ready to use NudgeProof AI
Your extension is installed, your account is ready, and your portal can receive paired reports. You can now scan, review results, and download reports confidently.
